We’re Back, Baby!
It’s been a long, hot summer and we missed ya! After taking the month of July off, it was amazing to see so many people — both new and old — join us at the Merc.

It seems every time we have one of these dinners, there’s a pretty good reason why people won’t show up… and yet they do. Last night we competed with Game 1 of the NBA Finals, and I think everyone who was there will agree they were glad they picked the Merc over Ball Arena.

Perhaps it’s not surprising then that the theme of the evening turned out to be founder mental health. Across the tables, it felt like people returned to the topic of how we can support one another during stressful times. I’m especially excited that the conversations weren’t just vent sessions — there were a lot of suggested solutions and commitments to help one another.

Recently, I learned that my friend Danny Newman purchased the Mercury Cafe last year and within 24 hours I was hitting him up, asking if we could hold a monthly CEO dinner at his venue. Less than a month later, here we are. The dates are booked and the web site is live. Now all we need are the CEOs.
